        SMCT has 4 berths with a total berth length of 1,110 meters and the capacity to accommodate 50,000-ton container ships. In addition, SMCT has built 2 special barge berths with a total length of 190 meters, which can accommodate 3,000-ton ships. Such capacity gives full support to timely loading/discharge of containers from ships at the barge berths. The berths connected to the land storage yard via 4 approach bridges. The water depth is -12.8 meters alongside the container terminal and -4 meters alongside the barge terminal. The company’s designed annual throughput capacity is 2.8 million TEU.
